Slightly later than usual I bring you my weekly Monday Wednesday mindfulness post, about 5 happy things from the previous week.
I popped into London for some last minute Christmas shopping. I really wanted to check out the new HEMA store on Tottenham Court Road and the Tatty Devine decorated Christmas trees on the South Bank.
The two Smalls finished school which they were both very happy about. My son brought home 3 achievement certificates for gaining a certain level of House Points.
I know I shouldn’t have but I bought myself the Lego Star Wars Ahch-To Island Training set. We watched The Last Jedi at the cinema last weekend and we all fell in love with the porgs. Yep, I bought this set for the tiny little lego porg which came with it. My children built the lego set and quickly absorbed it into their lego collection.
We did a lot of baking last week (Rudolph cupcakes, a sausage roll wreath, mince pie pinwheels, a Nutella Christmas tree) and enjoyed a day out in London, seeing the amazing Gingerbread City and Wonderlab at the Science Museum.
And then it was Christmas Day. This year we stayed at home on our own. We opened our stockings in bed then went downstairs to see what Father Christmas had left. Big Brother received Lego Boost and spent most of the day building it. Little Sis got the Sylvanian Families Beechwood Hall which she then played with all day, filling it with her favourite families and Christmas accessories. We had a lovely lunch at home and watched Home Alone – a pretty low key Christmas, but just what we all needed after such a busy December. I did pretty well too, receiving a new diary from Kikki.K, two Tatty Devine necklaces and a Lego Nutcracker.
Hope you all had a lovely Christmas!
