Blogging is feeling like hard work since I started my new job. Working outside of the home is tiring and I’m beginning to resent the constant emails I receive which expect so much in return for so little. It’s not why I started blogging and I’m not sure how I’ve got stuck in such a rut.
So I’ve decided to spend time writing about the things I want to – my children. I’m not sure what they’re both going through at the moment (other than perhaps a slightly stressed mum with a new job) but Little Sis has been quite poorly and Big Brother is a bit of an emotional mess. He has permanent tummy ache, hayfever and wobbly teeth. Most of the time they are on pretty good form though.
Although half term was a few weeks ago it’s the memories we created then that have been keeping me going recently. I love spending time as a family and it’s easy to forget the good times when you have broken nights sleep, sheets to change at 4 in the morning and tired, grumpy children to deal with.
Fortunately we’ve squeezed in a few adventures since half term. There were Pooh Sticks at the local stream, some fun unboxing videos to make and a Beaver nature trail to name a few. We’re currently making plans for the Summer and I can’t wait to spend more time with them without the distractions of school and clubs.
