Simple Thank You cards for kids to make {free printable} from the gingerbread house blog

Simple Thank You cards for kids to make {free printable}

Posted on December 29, 2016August 20, 2019 by jenny

I love making homemade Thank you cards. Every year my children receive lovely Christmas gifts and I want them to put some effort into the thank you cards they send. When they were younger we sent homemade photocards but now they can write their names (and my Year 2 son can write a lot more!) then I want them to make their own cards.

This year I designed my own card. They are super simple but there is some scope for creativity!

I added the words Thank You in large letters to the bottom of an A4 piece of card. The letters are perfect for colouring in! You can fold the card in half and add a hand written message inside.

You can also cut out the letters, which I did with my trust Swan Morton scalpel, and decorate the inside of the card. Both my children enjoyed making them this way and added colour with coloured pencils and washi tape.

The children found this a fun activity and liked making their thank you cards. I want to send them out quite soon after Christmas and it looks like I will be able to do that this year!

    Thank you for this, saying Thank you I sometimes feel is a kinda lost art…or lost manner. I love it that you are doing it with your kids. They will definitely grow up to be a fine Lady and Gentleman. Happy New Year!!
