February has been a busy month and my mantle has changed several times to reflect Valentine’s Day, Chinese New Year and my husband’s 40th birthday.
So what’s on my mantle this month?
The one constant has been a bunch of daffodils. I’ve really enjoyed watching them bloom.
Can you see my beautiful vintage tea cup and saucer? I spotted it when out charity shopping with my mum and had to have it. I love vintage china and this was produced to celebrate the Treaty of Versailles on 28th June 1919. The motif features a map of the world and the word Peace along with the flags of the Allies. It seemed a fitting purchase as we’re commemorating the Centenary of the First World War.
I recently found a couple of candles which I love. They’re slightly unusual in that one has been made to look like a ball of wool and the other pillar candle has a knitted textured surface.
My collection of vintage London buses has grown this month too which is great as I love them! They’re next to the new pics of my children from Truprint. Don’t forget you can order a free personalised Mother’s Day card from Truprint if you haven’t got round to organising yours yet. More details over here.
I love the mantle (except the colour). It’s a good width and I love having a little child-free space to curate.
