I’ve been visited by the Appliances Online fairy! You may have seen the blog love that has recently been spreading. It started with a new washing machine for Single Parent Dad, then on to Rosie Scribble who gained a new television, next up was Typecast who received a rather large jar of sweets. Last week it was my turn when I opened a lovely email asking if they could send me something.
To be honest I hadn’t heard of Appliances Online until they started sharing the love and I saw their name cropping up in my google reader. Apparently they are the UK’s largest online kitchen appliance retailer, selling fridge freezers, hobs and cooker hoods amongst other things.
They offered me some Amazon vouchers to help get me started on point 40 of my Day Zero list (to watch 26 movies starting with each letter of the alphabet). I’m impressed they took the time to read my blog and offered me something useful.
Now it’s my turn to share the love. Please feel free to leave a comment, you never know who might be reading.

January 3, 2011 at 9:33 pmHow fantastic! I remember reading another post about these guys – think it was Nickie from Typecast’s one. Cracking way to start the New Year – have you chosen any films yet?

January 4, 2011 at 10:37 amIt was a lovely surprise and I will choose some dvds this week. My New Year’s Resolution should be to use my baby-free time better!

January 4, 2011 at 11:00 amI remember reading the start of this over at Single Parent Dad and Rosie Scribble – how fabulous of them! And so good of them to read your blog to see what you actually needed.
I’d heard of them before via the net and I think on the TV at some point – they seem to be really good! And getting a brilliant reputation for themselves by using the parent blogosphere.
Well done on your vouchers… Hope you get some brilliant films out of it. I too am doing the Day Zero list, although not crossed off as many as you have yet… :/ x

January 4, 2011 at 11:30 amHey – that’s brilliant! I really love your idea as well, are you only watching films you haven’t seen or films you’ve seen too? Cool concept!

January 4, 2011 at 12:06 pmNice fairy. This week I got visited by the spot cream fairy, the broken microwave fairy, the dodgy central heating fairy and the damp patch in the hall fairy. I don’t like those other fairies.

January 4, 2011 at 12:27 pmThats is lovely of them, I have seen some posts about their
kind gestures before but so far no luck for me. I would really love
a bread maker to help us with our families healthy eating kick or a
dlsr camera as I would love to get into photography this year both
which would make for some lovely post on my blog. Well done you I
hope you enjoy spending your vouchers. Adele x x

January 4, 2011 at 1:23 pmThat was a brilliant idea from the AO fairy. What’s the idea with the 0 day list – everyone’s list starts counting from 1001 days, or there’s a set date for all lists to end? I tried to look at the website, but it seems to be down at the moment.
I’m like Sally at the moment – stuck with repeated visits from the fever and aches/pains fairy 🙁 I’d love a visit from a more friendly one 🙂
