5 minute Duck Tape plant container

I have the sweetest little DIY to share with you today. I love to keep an eye on the latest trends and couldn’t resist popping a couple of rolls of Duck Tape into my basket at the weekend. I love Duck Tape and they are always bringing out seasonal colours and patterns which I can’t resist. Their latest range is perfect for Spring with a range of pretty pastel colours including rolls of Marshmallow, Lilac Lily and Sage & Thyme.

I feel that Spring is on its way and have been enjoying watching my pretty hyacinths grow. It came in a cardboard pot which was crying out for a little something so I decided to cover it in some Duck Tape!

This is a simply little DIY but a great way to put your stamp on things. I used a roll of Sage & Thyme Duck Tape and a pair of scissors. I cut lengths of Duck Tape and placed it at the top of the pot, carefully pressing it down towards the bottom of the pot, pushing out any wrinkles. I tucked any extra Duck Tape underneath the pot.

This took 5 minutes and I forgot to take any pictures as I was so absorbed with smoothing out the wrinkles!

  1. Hi Jenny,
That was a gorgeous and an ingenious way of creating a plant container. Most of the plant containers that we have around the house are made of clay and most of them break. I think I should try out something like this duck tape one. Thanks a lot for the share.

    Cindy
