Last week we were invited to Legoland Windsor which was amazing as the children have been asking to go for ages. My husband took the day off work and off we went. Luckily we only live about half an hour away so we got there just as the park opened.
Lego Scooby Doo Blowout Beach Bash Movie
Our first stop was the 4D cinema to watch the Lego Scooby Doo Blowout Beach Bash Movie. I didn’t even know you could watch films at Legoland but you can. The cinema was by the Imagination Centre, and was huge but there were lovely, plump cushions to sit on. Our family love watching films, especially Lego films, and we thought the Lego Scooby movie was great.
Scooby-Doo! and his pals Fred, Daphne, Velma and Shaggy are no strangers to solving spooky mysteries filled with all types of ghouls and goblins. This time is no different. As Scooby-Doo! and his friends are on their way to Blowout Beach for a real swinging beach party in the Mystery Machine, the Ghost Pirates threaten to ruin the gangโs good vibes. It is up to Scooby and the gang to get the party back on track, without missing a beat.
We loved it, and at around 70 minutes it was the perfect length for my 5 and 7 year olds. This all-new original movie Lego Scooby-Doo!: Blowout Beach Bash is available on DVD, Blu-Ray and digital HD for the first time ever for kids to enjoy.
After we had all enjoyed the film it was off to explore the park. This was our fourth visit and the kids really wanted to re-visit some of their favourite parts. We had been given VIP tickets which meant we could go to the front of each ride – no queuing! This made a massive difference to our day and we would be tempted to buy these tickets again.
On previous visits we have only managed a few rides. This time we went on a whopping 14 rides thanks to our special tickets. We explored our old favourite Duplo Land but also persuaded the children to explore new areas of the park.
We thought Lego Ninjago World was amazing, it has only just opened and the Lego Ninjago The Ride features the UKโs first ever 4D, hand gesture enabled ride. It was very cool and I think my 7 year old would have stayed on all day if he could.
We also visited theย Land of the Vikings, Pirate Shores, Heartlake City and Lego City. It was easily our best ever visit to Legoland! We stayed until the park shut and the children couldn’t physically take any more fun. The nwe took them home, gave them dinner and put them to bed.

Keeping the kids busy at Legoland Windsor - the-gingerbread-house.co.uk
August 5, 2018 at 10:26 pm[…] Legoland Windsor actually opens at 9.30 which gives you half an hour to park, get through the bag check and have a quick loo break before any of the rides open. We make sure to do this to maximise our day. I would also take the opportunity to pick up a leaflet with the times of shows on. We didn’t do this and missed watching the new Lego Ninjago show in the 4D cinema – read our review of the 4D cinema here. […]
