The Fun at the Farm box {Mila and Pheebs}

I have two very crafty children who were delighted to receive the new stationery and activity subscription box from Mila & Pheebs. My 5 year old is currently learning all about the farm, and has a school visit planned later this month, so we had a lot of fun exploring the box together. The March Mila & Pheebs sub box had the theme Fun at the Farm.

This sub box is lovely and slim and fitted nicely through our letterbox. It was waiting for them when they got home from school. They both love receiving post and enjoyed opening it up.

Inside was a lovely assortment of stationery as well as some activities we could do together. Inside the lid was a list of the contents. My daughter can’t yet read so I read them out to her as she looked through everything. Inside was a farm animal pencil and eraser topper, Iwako cow eraser, farm colouring-in sheets, farm animal hand puppet kit, farm animal shaped crayons, farmyard foam stickers, farmyard maze, fun at the farm wordsearch, farm notepad, 2 x blank greeting cards and envelopes, sheep decoration craft pack, cockerel paperclip and farmyard foil stickers.

First of all we tackled the farmyard maze and the fun at the farm wordsearch. These are always popular with my children and something I enjoy doing with them. Then my daughter added the farmyard foil stickers to her notebook – she is a huge fan of stickers and enjoyed sticking these everywhere.

She collects rubbers too and immediately recognised the Iwako cow eraser which got added to her collection. She loved the animal shaped crayons and we’ve saved those and the colouring sheet for another day.

We’ve already made the farm animal hand puppet kit. She received a horse and this was actually her first sewing project. She was pretty pleased with the finished puppet!

There was a lovely selection of activities to keep the children busy and this is the perfect kind of box for them. I like the fact it had a theme and thought it was great value at just £10 for the box. You can purchase a one month, three month, six month or one-off subscription. We still have some of the crafts and activities to do, as well as lots of lovely stationery to use, so this box will keep us busy for a while yet.

You can find out more about the Mila & Pheebs subscription box on their website, and follow them on Twitter and Instagram. If you fancy trying a box for yourself then make sure you use the code thegingerbreadhouse which will give you 10% off any subscription on their site until 31st March 2017.
