Did you know that this year sees Winnie-the-Pooh’s 90th anniversary? The 14th October 2016 marks 90 years since A.A. Milne’s first Winnie-the-Pooh book was published! Fans of honey-loving Pooh Bear can celebrate the anniversary in style, with a wide range of products inspired by the Hundred Acre Wood gang. I really like the look of the limited edition Cath Kidston and Disney collaboration!
I love the fact that Winnie the Pooh is timeless. Along with his friends – Piglet, Eeyore, Kanga, Roo, Tigger, Rabbit, Owl and not forgetting Christopher Robin – they should definitely be remembered and celebrated.
I had lost my crafting mojo for a while but I’m pleased it’s come back, inspired by Winnie the Pooh. It is strange adjusting to both my children being at school but I’ve found they are happy to come home to a crafting activity. Today I’m sharing our paper plate Winnie the Pooh craft.
You will need:
2 x paper plates
yellow craft foam
scissors
yellow and red paint and paint brushes
split pins
How to make a paper plate Winne the Pooh:
First paint both paper plates with the yellow paint and set aside to dry. When they are dry paint half of one plate with the red paint.
Cut two arms and two legs from the craft foam and attach to the red and yellow paper plate with split pins so they can be moved.
Trim the yellow paper plate to make it smaller for the head.
Cut two small ears from the leftover part of the paper plate.
Attach the ears to the head and glue the head over the top of the other paper plate. Add eyes, a nose and mouth.
Your paper plate Winnie the Pooh is finished!
