Easy Spring wreath

The weather has been a bit of a mixed bag lately so we’ve been coming up with lots of Spring crafts to cheer the place up. Spring is easily my favourite time of the year and returning home after a week away I’ve been amazed how our garden has just ‘bloomed’.

First of all we made our own Spring wreath. We found a sheet of green cardboard and used plates as a template for a large and small circle. My 4 year old loves to cut with scissors (!) and enjoyed this task so much that we made a couple of wreaths.

We had a good look through our craft supplies and found ribbon, foam stickers and buttons in lovely bright Spring colours. We attached them to our cardboard base with Bostik sticky dots. They were a bit tricky to use but they are very strong so worth persevering with.

We gradually built up layers, first the ribbon and then the foam flowers. I made a little bunny from yellow felt and we added a handful of buttons too with the Bostik sticky dots.

To finish it off we add a small length of green ribbon so we could hang it up. I love the simplicity of this but also how cute and colourful it is and child-friendly too.

Whilst we were making this the 4 year old also wanted to make a card he’d seen on CBeebies. We found all the supplies we needed and re-created the card as best we could using cupcake cases for the flower heads and pipe cleaners for the stems. He decorated inside the cupcake cases with Bostik glitter pens which were messy but looked great when they had dried.

Disclosure – We were sent the craft supplies above as we’re a member of the Bostik Family Craft Bloggers Network
