We were lucky enough to be invited to London Zoo to help celebrate the launch of the new Royal Mail Winnie the Pooh stamps. This was the first time that we had taken Edward to London Zoo so we were all very excited.

We saw penguins, an owl, lions, tigers, gorillas and giraffes (our very favourite animals) and lots more animals.

London Zoo kindly provided afternoon tea which was followed by a reading from Winnie the Pooh. Edward was very well behaved and was rewarded with a set of the new Winnie the Pooh stamps. I have put these in his first year memory box but he may well want to collect stamps when he’s older. I used to collect stamps, as did my dad, and I think it’s a lovely hobby – and apparently the most popular hobby in the world!
