Viakal made my bathroom sparkle!

I’m the first to admit that cleaning and housekeeping take a back seat in my household. I’d much rather spend time with the children than worry about the state of the house. I received an email which made me laugh!

“To showcase how effective Viakal really is, we would love for you to put your feet up and let our team of bathroom-cleaning experts visit your home to give your bathroom a squeaky-clean finish! We’ll take care of everything – from scrubbing your bathroom taps to cleaning the dreaded toilet.”

Living in London our bathrooms suffer from limescale, which is really difficult to remove. I’ve tried lots of different products but none have really made a significant different and I’d kind of given up! Viakal’s formula has been specifically designed to efficiently remove watermarks and limescale, whilst also improving appearance and shine, so I was more than happy to try it.

I was really impressed with the result. Viakal and a lot of elbow grease from the hard-working cleaner meant the bathrooms really did sparkle. Hopefully you can see in the before and after photos that the limescale is all gone and the tap looks like new. It also worked really well on the shower curtain and made short work of the tide mark around the bath (left by the children, not me!). A week later I can honestly say both bathrooms still look beautifully clean and shiny.

Viakal has it’s own celebrity ambassador in the shape of Anthea Turner. Here are my favourite top 5 bathroom tips from her:

  • Storage, storage, storage– it’s very difficult to clean around shampoos and shower gels so put them away after every use especially if you have a big family
  • Keep your toothbrush in the cupboard to protect it from airborne germs
  • Refrain from keeping pot pourri in the bathroom as this will collect dust
  • It’s a great idea to keep cleaning products in the bathroom itself but pop them in the cupboard
  • Most importantly, keep your bathroom in a state you enjoy

My bathrooms were cleaned for free and I received a Viakal goody bag in return for this post but all opinions are my own.
