Day Zero – Month 7 (April)

Posted on May 2, 2011July 28, 2012 by jenny

Time for a quick Day Zero update before another month passes me by:

4.     Get through my baby’s teething in one piece!

The last few days have been terrible as Edward has not one but three teeth coming through at the top. The pain is excruciating for him and we’re finding it really difficult to comfort him. We’re all having sleepless nights and a lot of grumpyness. Edward is so good natured and happy that it is awful watching him suffer. Teething sucks!

5.     Read one book every month

Since becoming a mum I’ve been more of a magazine reader due to lack of time and poor concentration. However I’m currently reading The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton which I can’t put down. I’d forgotten  the feeling of being totally engrossed by a book. I’ve been carrying it around in my handbag to read in the car and going to bed early to read a few chapters.

14. Complete a 365 day photo challenge

We started our baby blog to keep our family and friends up to date with Edward and I’ve managed to post a pic every day. He’s now 13 months and I’m going to keep it going as long as I can.

56. Go to an Olympic event in London in 2012

Just before the midnight deadline we managed to sign up for tickets to the synchronised swimming, BMX racing and cycle racing. Random events but we just wanted to be part of the Olympics as it’s on our doorstep. We even applied for a ticket for Edward so we could have a few family days out if we’re successful.

100. Attend Cybermummy 2011

I’m really excited to announce I have secured a sponsor for Cybermummy. I will be revealing more shortly.

We only give calpol when he’s in a lot of pain, and in the rare occasion where it’s so bad that that’s not enough between that and the next dose we give Provin. The combination of the 2 kills the pain and lets him sleep x

Hope the little one gets over the teething soon – it’s no fun. And good luck with your challenges!
