Cath Kidston Christmas crafts gingerbread house handmade sewing swap swaps

Christmas swapsies

As part of my Day Zero challenge I’m aiming to take part in at least one swap a month. So in the run up to Christmas I signed up for a couple of Christmas swaps.

First up was the Blogger’s Secret Santa organised by Leanne where I received a copy of Cath Kidston’s Sew! from Helen. It’s full of beautiful projects to make (some of which will probably end up as birthday and Christmas presents). I sent a Moleskine recipe journal to Domestic Goddesque.

Then I joined up for the Secret Christmas Ornament Swap organised by Denise and I received two lovely Gisela Graham gingerbread-related ornaments. I’ve never seen them before but they’ll be featuring on our next Christmas tree. I made a string of felt birds for Red Ted Art who asked for something red.

Lastly I signed up for the Christmas Decoration Swap organised by Louise where I received a wonderful Snowman, stocking and cup holder, all handmade, from Helen. I made her a felt gingerbread house ornament.

I had loads of fun planning what I was going to buy or make and spent a few happy evenings sewing. I must spend more time sewing in the evening rather than watching rubbish tv!
