#WWback2best update and cooking

A couple of weeks into the Back2Best challenge and I have to admit it’s going very slowly. I’ve been enjoying healthy meal planning and trying out lots of new recipes, I’m just quite hungry in the evenings. Old habits die hard and very slowly it seems.

As part of the challenge I was sent two recipe books and the lastest WeightWatchers magazine and I’ve spent many hours looking through them for inspiration. Most of the recipes are pretty straightforward and it’s great being able to make tasty meals for myself and my husband. In fact, I’m not even sure he realises they’re healthy!

Now the weather is turning autumnal/wintery I’ve started making lots of soups. So far a carrot and coriander soup (0 ProPoints per portion) and butternut and sage soup with crispy onions (2 ProPoints per portion) have both been successful. A spicy sausage and bean casserole was also tasty although I have to admit leaving out the spice (5 ProPoints per portion).

Sorry, no pictures to show this time as, however hard I try, my photographs of food aren’t particularly inspiring.

Don’t forget, if you fancy trying out Weight Watchers for yourself, then you can access the online plan for a week for just £1 and trial the app for free here. Please make sure you read the small print though as the plan will automatically renew unless you instruct otherwise.

I must admit I am right into soups at the moment, it’s that time of year again.
