My name is Jenny and I’ve been blogging at the gingerbread house since 2005 – that’s two three house moves, a wedding and two children. I’m a London lifestyle blogger, writing about crafts for kids and adults, sewing, and home decorating ideas. You may also find play ideas and the odd toy review too. In my spare time I love charity shopping and upcycling. I’ve recently opened an Etsy shop too where I sell some of my vintage supplies.
I’m a mother of two small terrors who never sleep – Big Brother the toddler pre-schooler school boy (born 2010) and Little Sis (born 2011) his younger sister.
I really hope my blog reflects our creative life. We are happy to work with brands, review relevant products, host the odd competition and attend blogging events (even better if the travel is paid for!). I’ve worked with Hobbycraft, Baker Ross, The Works, DK Publishing, CICO Books, Dunelm Mill, Playmobil and LEGO amongst others. Feel free to get in touch if you’re interested in working with me.
You can email me here or find me on twitter.
I love being part of the blogging community. I’m lucky enough to have been shortlisted for Best Overall Blog category in the 2011 Gurgle Blog Awards and Best Craft blog in the Brilliance in Blogging Awards 2013 and 2014.

I’m inspired by your blog and wondered if you could recommend books that have ideas for making things in them – craft books etc. Also where do you get your material? Thanks

July 28, 2008 at 3:31 pmWow! I want to join your ‘swap club’!! I fell into your site whilst ‘googling’ where to find vintage shops in Bruges( going next week!)
I am a frustrated textiles teacher, and I love to faff around with felt, fabrics & knitting so to find like minded people to swap ideas with would be great!
Just a pity you are down in the big smoke as I am ‘oop north’ in Yorkshire…..
