Over the summer the children wanted to make endless slime and goo. On the good days we used our tuff spot outside and the kids had so much fun making and playing with slime. We even made a video of one of our attempts. Making and playing with slime is a cool STEM activity so I was excited to receive a copy of The Slime Book to review.
The Slime Book
Play, poke, push and pull the gloopiest, gooiest slime with The Slime Book – perfect for some family fun or a slime-fest with friends.

The Slime Book contains all you need to know to make the perfect slime with clear step-by-step images and a vibrant final image of the slimy stuff.
There are also opportunities for children to learn the science behind a selection of these slime creations with amazing fact boxes: how does popping candy work in Popping Slime? what makes Basic Slime a non-Newtonian fluid? why is Bubbling Swamp Slime full of bubbles? The book is well set out and features 32 recipes, divided into edible and non-edible recipes. It’s a really fun book with lots of eye-catching photographs. I’m looking forward to trying out the unicorn slime and the smelly slime with the children over the Christmas holidays. it’s a great value book which I know will provide hours of slime-y fun!
