My daughter loves watching Ben 10. Ten-year-old Ben Tennyson discovers a mysterious device named the Omnitrix on a family holiday. This device allows him to transform into 10 different alien forms replete with unique superpowers. He has lots of adventures and is a great character to inspire my active 8 year old. Fans of Ben 10 will be excited to hear about the new Ben 10 Power Trip video game which is released on Friday 9th October. We were given a sneak preview of the game and my children have been playing it ever since! Ben 10 Power Trip video…

It’s been a while since we took part in a Twitter Party but I’m pleased to announce the Lion Guard Twitter Party will be happening on Twitter next Wednesday 6th July between 1 and 3pm. At the beginning of the year we attended a preview of The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar, a brand new film for television, a precursor to The Lion Guard television series which is shown on Disney Junior. My children absolutely love the Lion Guard so I knew they would want to take part in the Twitter party with me. As we’ll be hosting a…

On Wednesday we took part in a Twitter party for Blaze and the Monster Machines. The children love taking part in Twitter parties and this was a fun one as we got to see the latest Blaze and the Monster Machine toys, as well as take part in some fun STEM activities. Blaze knows everything about science, technology, engineering and maths. When things get really tough he can use his scientific know-how to transform himself into any machine. During the Twitter party we took part of four educational STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) focussed activities, and played with lots of new Blaze…

Now I’ve finished my Christmas shopping I feel as though I can start to think about 2016. Next year will see the start of a countdown to a significant birthday which always seems to make me a little introspective. I grew up reading Jane Austen, thanks to my mum who is a true Jane Austen Super Fan, and often wished I could swap places with one of her fictional heroines. Emma Woodhouse has always been my favourite character, as she had such a strong personality, even though perhaps a little naive and life limited too. My life is, and has…

This Thursday I will be taking part in a DocMcStuffins Pet Vet Twitter Party for the new range of toys in the Pet Vet range. Dottie ‘Doc’ McStuffins, is a six year old girl who ‘fixes’ toys, with a little help from her stuffed animal friends, Stuffy, Hallie, Lambie and Chilly. Doc has expanded her practice and now looks after pet friends too! My 3 year old loves Doc and has been watching the new Doc McStuffins Pet Vet Clinic episodes. You may remember we’ve already reviewed a few of the toys such as the Doc McStuffins Pet Vet Find…

Earlier this week we took part in a Twitter Party for the new Plasticine Softeez from Flair. Plasticine is something I remember from my own childhood so I was excited to see that it had come back and my children would be able to play with it. Unlike play dough, Plasticine never dries out. It also comes in many colours which you can mix to make new colours. It is also really easy to handle and play with. I thought it might be helpful to share 5 ways to play with Plasticine Softeez: Plasticine is great for learning about colours…

As I mentioned on Monday we’re very excited to be taking part in a fun Plasticine Softeez Twitter party on Wednesday 5th August between 2-4pm. The Party will be for the new Plasticine Softeez range for Autumn/Winter from Flair which is aimed at children ages 3-7. New Plasticine Softeez has the stability of original Plasticine and still never dries out, but is softer and easier to model with than the original. So is perfect for little hands! We are really looking forward to our party and sharing it with you so I thought I would tell you a little more about…

I’m a little late with my weekly Monday happy things due to the Summer holidays. Anyone else feel as exhausted as I do already? I had a wonderful child-free weekend in Europe with my husband. We stayed in Antwerp and enjoyed sampling Belgian beers, waffles, and admiring lots of paintings by Reubens. We also caught the train to Utrecht to see the Miffy exhibition at the Centraal Museum and spot some of the statues from the Miffy art parade. I’ve had a beautiful bouquet of hydrangeas and cream roses brightening up our living room this week. The latest craft book…
