Over the last couple of weeks Little Sis has been helping to review a brand new product from Character, Bright Eyes. This is a supersoft, interactive toy with light-up, animated eyes and cute animal sounds. Little Sis received Tiny the Elephant and there are three further Bright Eyes toys: Breeze the Owl, Twinkle the Dog and Rosy the Cat. My 3 year old loves her elephant. She carries her around all day, takes her to nursery and then up to bed at night. Simple to use, you can pet their head to wake them up, pet their backs and they…

I have been keeping my 5 year old busy over the school holidays. As well as days out we’ve had fun at home too, reading books, crafting and practising his writing. He was sent the Qixels Turbo Dryer Playset from Character to review and this is an easy review to write as he absolutely loves it. Qixels are the cubes that fuse with a blast of water. Add the tray and templates to your Turbo Dryer then add Qixles to build your design! Spray with water the press and spin to dry your designs super fast! Simply Make, spray, play…

We’ve been really lucky to be sent some lovely toys to review over the school holidays. As I’ve mentioned before, my 3 year old loves to dress up and Doc McStuffins is one of her favourites. She received the product the Doc McStuffins Pet Vet Bag Playset from Flair. Whilst we all know that Doc McStuffins loves to fix her toys we are looking forward to the new episodes as she looks after her stuffed pets too! Yep, she’s expanding her practice with her Pet Vet Clinic which means the The Doc McStuffins Pet Vet Bag Playset is one of…

Earlier this week we took part in a Twitter Party for the new Plasticine Softeez from Flair. Plasticine is something I remember from my own childhood so I was excited to see that it had come back and my children would be able to play with it. Unlike play dough, Plasticine never dries out. It also comes in many colours which you can mix to make new colours. It is also really easy to handle and play with. I thought it might be helpful to share 5 ways to play with Plasticine Softeez: Plasticine is great for learning about colours…

It’s hard to believe that one week of the Summer holidays has already flown by. We’ve been really busy with days out, trips to the cinema and lot of play time at home. I’m enjoying spending time with my 5 year old and it’s lovely watching him play all day and have fun with his sister. There has been lots of Summer fun with Lego play. We always have our home made Lego table out which acts as a permanent invitation to play. They also have a couple of boxes of Lego and Lego Duplo so it’s their toy of…

We’re really enjoying Dora and Friends: Into the City!. Little Sis is now 3 and I think Into the City reflects the world that she is growing up in. She received some of the wonderful new Dora and Friends toys to review. These included the new Dora and Friends 8″ dolls, Dora and Friends Magic Charm bracelet, Dora Magic Adventure Charms and Dora and Friends Toy Smartphone. We’ve had great fun making our own charm bracelets, just like Dora. We liked the fact Little Sis was able to choose which charms she wanted to use and put them on herself.…

Earlier this year Schleich introduced some new products to their Farm life range. A few months ago we reviewed the Schleich horse riding arena and we were sent some items from the new range which complement this set. We love Schleich toys, they are beautifully made with an amazing level of detail. They are great for imaginative play and the children have been having fun with the horse riding arena. It came with a horse, rider and a few accessories but I like the fact you can buy more. We received 3 horses, the Knabstrupper mare (item 13769), Tennessee Walker…

Did you ever play with Sylvanian Families when you were younger? This year they are celebrating their 30th anniversary and I’m excited to be able to re-visit my childhood toys with my daughter. If you follow me on Instagram you might have noticed we’ve picked up some amazing vintage Sylvanian Families toys lately. My favourite have to be the canal boat and bus – perfect for transporting your little Sylvanians on their adventures! Little Sis was the lucky recipient of some new toys from the Sylvanian Families range. I love the fact that new families and accessories are constantly being…
