I’m so excited to announce that we’ve been chosen to work with Playmobil once again as Playmobil Playologists! Our family love Playmobil, a top manufacturer within preschool, and we’re looking forward to sharing some of their news, and of course toy reviews, with you over the next few months. Earlier this year we told you how London Fire Brigade recruited a specialist #PLAYMOBILBrigade to celebrate their 150th year. Fire stations have been busy hosting 65 collaborative open days across the capital throughout 2016 to teach children about fire safety in the home. We were lucky to attend the VIP launch…

I have been thinking about different ways for my children to play with their toys and I thought of combining their favourite Star Wars toys with our tuff spot. Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best and our Star Wars sensory bin has been recreated several times. For our DIY Star Wars sensory bin for kids we used: Selection of Star Wars toys Tuff spot Sand Wooden stars DIY Star Wars sensory bin for kids: Our tuff spot gets a lot of use at this time of year. The last time the children played with this the sun was shining…

Peppa Pig fans will love the latest addition to the Peppa Pig range – Princess Peppa’s Carriage from Character Options. One of my favourite things about being a parent is the chance to play with toys, especially those I enjoyed as a child. As a child of the 80s I remember the classic memory game Simon, first released in 1978. Well guess what? It has been given a modern twist. The classic fast-action game where players need to watch, remember, and repeat patterns is back! Touch-free technology is introduced in this edition with Simon Air recognising when a player follows the colour sequence by sensing their motions! I loved this game when I was younger so I was really excited…

Little Sis, my 4 year old daughter, loves nothing more than a parcel from the Postman. She has been lucky to open some wonderful post, the most recent contained the Sylvanian Families convertible car. This is a sweet vehicle which really lets your Sylvanians drive in style. The Sylvanian Families convertible car has two seats in the front and a little parcel shelf at the back. It comes in a bright colour with a retractable roof which can be pulled down when the sun is shining. The car comes in one piece and all we had to do was add…

I like to have lots of games, books and crafts on hand during the summer holidays to keep my children occupied. We’ve only recently started playing board games together but the children love them. They are great for having family time and we’ve found after dinner is the perfect time for us all to sit down and have some fun. We were recently sent a new board game to try out called Who Tooted?. The Who Tooted? game is cheeky and irreverent fun that’s perfect for encouraging kids to have a little family time. Let’s face it, we all do…

If your children love small collectible toys as much as mine then you may be interested to hear about a new range from Flair. We were recently sent The Grossery Gang Yucky Mart Playset and 4 x Foil Bags to review. The Grossery Gang are the new gross collectable for boys (and girls). My 4 year old loves her Shopkins and these are similar but gross, my 6 year old found them very appealing as he seems to be going through a stage where he loves anything a bit silly or dirty! Both my children love pocket money priced toys…

My 4 year old believes in fairies, do you? She seems to spend a lot of time watching Tinkerbell films and we have had fun building a fairy garden outside. We are always on the look out for more fairy fun so were delighted to see the Opening Fairy Doors playset which consists of a fairy door, window, post box, fence panels and accessories to build your own indoor fairy portal. Opening Fairy Doors allows children to create a magical fairy world in their own room. Sprinkle a pinch of Magic Dust and fluttering fairies are believed to come out…

The weather has taken a turn for the worse so I’m really grateful we have been sent some lovely toys and games to review. Today I’m going to share the new Disney Frozen Aquabeads Playset. This is a fun set that lets you create your favourite Frozen characters including Elsa, Anna, and Olaf. Aquabeads are really fun and something my 4 and 6 year old love to play with. Simply select a design template, place the layout tray over the template and create your design. When you’ve finished, spray with water and the beads will magically stick together. This set…
