    This year is speeding by and I can’t believe it’s time for our third craft in the Project: Recycle and Create series. This months materials was egg cartons which I don’t think we’ve ever crafted with before. We had plenty of egg cartons in our recycling box so tried our hand at making egg carton flowers. Egg boxes aren’t half as much fun as I remember from my own childhood. They’ve been re-designed so it’s much harder to cut out a decent dimple to craft with. Instead we cut out the bits in between!     There are some lovely prints out for spring and one of my favourites is the new novelty Gnomes design from Cath Kidston. Apparently his name is Gnorris, and this cheeky chappie will be popping up here, there and everywhere on their social channels over the next couple of weeks. He takes centre stage on a collection of new products including practical bags, classic mugs, aprons and even a knitted tea cosy.     We’ve kept our Easter decorations really simple this year. We have our white seasonal tree up and it’s decorated with clear plastic eggs filled with pastel coloured pom poms and mini eggs. I found some ceramic eggs in the craft shop and thought these would be a great addition to our tree. They came in a little kit with some paint but I kew they would look much better if I decorated them with temporary tattoos instead.     On Wednesday we took part in a Twitter party for Blaze and the Monster Machines. The children love taking part in Twitter parties and this was a fun one as we got to see the latest Blaze and the Monster Machine toys, as well as take part in some fun STEM activities.     Today I’m joining in with the monthly Kid Craft Challenge organised by The Resourceful Mama. The theme this month is a craft from a recycled item and as we have (many) offcuts of wood in the shed, I thought it would be fun to make something from these.
