    Halloween painted rock ideas

    I know we’ve only just survived the first week back at school but I’m beginning to get excited about Halloween at the end of next month. My kids love Halloween and whilst we might not go all out for horror and zombies, we can’t result stocking up on the Halloween candy and go Trick or Treating. Today I’m joining in with a Halloween blog hop with our Halloween painted rocks. We love decorating and hiding painted rocks. We hid a lot of our painted rocks stash over the summer, hiding them locally near where we live and also taking a…

    At the grand old ages of 5 and 7 my kids absolutely love Halloween. When I was out shopping last week I popped into my local poundworld to pick up some Halloween decorations. We love to go all out for Halloween, decorating the house, dressing up, and even having a Halloween dinner on the day itself! I love to shop around and found some brilliant decorations and Halloween supplies in poundworld. I’ve shared some of my favourite products over on Twitter already. They were good quality and excellent value so I just had to share our 5 Halloween party essentials.…

    Halloween roasted vegetables {A-Z Play at Home}

    I love Fridays. We have a fun weekend planned with the kids. Can you believe we’ve already reached letter V in our weekly A-Z Play at Home blog hop? The letter V made me think of vegetables, something we always have plenty of at home. We’ve used vegetables in our crafting before and today we wanted to try something a bit different. With Halloween coming up soon we made our own Halloween roasted vegetables! Halloween roasted vegetables I don’t usually have a problem getting my kids to eat their veggies. Thankfully they eat well, but it can never hurt to make…

    I’ve been excited by the thought of Halloween for a while now. We actually went on a little Halloween shopping spree a few weeks ago and I couldn’t help but be excited by some Halloween crafting with the children. My children are all about painted rocks at the moment. It’s the latest craze and they are fully embracing it! Have you heard about painted rocks? It’s quite simple, people are decorating and hiding painted rocks! This is great fun for adults and children, and pretty cheap too. I recently bought a big bag of smooth pebbles from our local garden centre. These are perfect for creating story stones but also for crafting painted stones. Halloween hand painted rock monsters With Halloween coming up we wanted to create Halloween themed painted rocks. I’ve seen some awesome pumpkin painted rocks on…

    5 pumpkin patches near London for families

    As I sit and type this the shutters are closed, I’m wearing an extra jumper and I’m thinking about pumpkins. This evening the heating tried to come on so I don’t think I can pretend that summer is well and truly over. I love Autumn and my youngest has given me quite a collection of acorns and conkers since we started walking to school. The leaves were falling as we played in the park today so it seemed only right to start planning a trip to a pumpkin patch. For some reason I really want to visit a pumpkin patch.…

    Devilishly delicious BEAR Claws make the perfect Halloween treat

    My children have been looking forward to Halloween throughout October. Our lightbox turned into a countdown and they were forever double checking how many days! Halloween can be a great event for children. There are the spooky costumes, the scary films, the pumpkin carving, the Halloween crafts and of course, the Trick or Treating. One thing I’m not so keen on is the emphasis on all the sweets and sugary stuff. The shops have been full of special Halloween branded sweets, cakes and biscuits for weeks. It’s hard to hide from those products, and even harder to hide them from…
