My children love technology and this is something that they both explored more during the summer holidays. They are both digital kids, love their tablets and love to create online content – I have no idea where they get that from! A few weeks ago we were gifted the new Studio Creator Video Maker kit from Canal Toys. Today we are going to tell you more about it. Studio Creator Video Maker kit Kids love to create content from selfies to TikTok but it can be difficult to know where to start other than a basic phone or tablet. The…

A few months ago we told you about the Plane Launcher kit, one of the new kits from Build Your Own who make sustainable toys with less plastic. This was a a great STEM toy (one which utilises science, technology, engineering and mathematics) for kids aged 8 and over, and they have enjoyed playing with it over and over again. Build Your Own Microscope Kit We recently gifted the latest product in the Build Your Own range, the BYO Microscope kit, which the children couldn’t wait to put together and use. Like the BYO Plane Launcher kit, the BYO Microscope…

It’s so good to have a variety of activities to offer the children when they’ve finished their home learning. We are working hard to get everything finished by lunch time so we can enjoy our afternoons together. Our dining room table is always piled high with toys, but they always have a learning slant! We were recently gifted something from the new So Sand DIY range to try out at home. Read on for our review! So Sand DIY Sensory Studio It’s time to get creative and take your imagination to another level. Thanks to So Sand DIY, it’s now…

Disclosure: Some of the products featured (marked*) were sent for inclusion in this gift guide, however all opinions are my own. Despite losing my own father when I was young, I still enjoy celebrating Father’s Day with my family. The children love Father’s Day – let’s face it, they love any occasion which might end with cake! It’s been a while since I put together a gift guide but I thought you might be interested to see some of the gifts we will be giving this Father’s Day. We are so excited that it’s half term. Normally we would try and visit family but this year we are having a staycation! We are all looking forward to relaxing at home, watching lots of films and playing outside in the garden. The weather was lovely today, if a little windy, but we got the chance to introduce our puppy to bubbles! The children love playing with bubbles and we have always had a fun collection of traditional bubble toys. We were recently gifted some items from the new Gazillion range to try at home. Gazillion Bubble Rush Introducing GAZILLION…

We’ve had a lovely three-day weekend. We enjoyed walks with the puppy, homemade cake and playing. I have to say weekends are so much easier than trying to homeschool my youngest right now! Thankfully we were gifted a new product from the So Slimelicious DIY to enjoy at home. My daughter adores playing with slime. It’s really therapeutic for her to play with it and she loves to sit watching a film and plying with her slime. We’ve reviewed the So Slime DIY Slimelicious Case before and my daughter really enjoyed making her own slime. Slimelicious Mini Shop and Collectibles…

Disclosure – thanks to NetGalley for letting me see a review copy of this book. When I began to think about the impending lockdown I thought this would be a great time to read and catch up on all sewing projects I wanted to do. Five weeks into lockdown and I’ve finished one book and one sewing project (which was pretty much nearly finished anyway). With two young children my hours are filled, as they should be, by keeping them busy and happy. Books and sewing have taken a back seat, with maths, colouring sheets, baking and walks pushed to…

Back in October half term 2018 we were lucky to get tickets to the London Yayoi Kusama installation, a free event at the Victoria Miro gallery near Old Street. I’ve always admired Yayoi Kusama’s work and was excited to introduce the kids to her work. We loved the Infinity Mirrored Room, the giant pumpkins, paintings and installations. It was a really inspiring event for the whole family. We really loved the pumpkins covered in dots and tried to re-create them at home on painted rocks – it was so much harder than it looked! Yayoi Kasuma Covered Everything in Dots…

It seems a while since we’ve reviewed toys but when we were offered some of the brand new Shopkins Real Littles I just had to say yes. My children have always loved their Shopkins toys so I knew they would be really excited to see these. Real Littles sees your fave brands turned into Shopkins! Shopkins Real Littles are the same brands you find in the supermarkets – just made mini! Take home a basket full of brands and make your own real looking store – just smaller!
