At the weekend we were fortunate to be invited by Petplan and Universal Pictures to attend a film screening of The Secret Life of Pets. The film is a comedy all about the lives our pets lead after we leave for work or school each day and is released on Friday 24th June. Before the screening there were lots of activities in the foyer including from animal petting, making your own animal ears, and a photo booth. Unfortunately the queues were really long so we opted for the shortest queue – getting your own (human) dog tags. This kept my children…

Did you watch the Stick Man adaptation screened on Christmas Day? I must admit we made sure we were all sitting down to watch as we have enjoyed previous adaptations of Julia Donaldson books so much. I’m pleased to say it is out tomorrow on DVD and we were sent a copy to enjoy at home. First published in 2008, Stick Man was written by beloved children’s author Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler. Stick Man lives in the family tree with his Stick Lady Love and their stick children three. One day Stick Man unintentionally ends up on…

One of my favourite things about this time of year are the Christmas films! There are so many to watch and we all have our own family favourites which are perfect for snuggling on the sofa together with a big bowl of popcorn. Last month Get Santa was released on DVD, Blu-Ray and Digital HD and I’m excited to be able to offer a DVD to one of my readers today. Get Santa Rafe Spall leads a top British cast in 2015’s must-own Christmas film “Get Santa.” National treasure Jim Broadbent stars as Santa in this fun, heart-warming and hilarious…

Yesterday we took part in a viewing party for Inside Out which was released on 3D Blu-Ray, DVD and Digital on 23rd November 2015. We all loved the film when we saw it during the summer holidays, don’t they seem a long time ago, and enjoyed watching the film again yesterday. Disney Pixar’s original film Inside Out, takes us to the most extraordinary location of all this Christmas – inside the human mind. Based in Headquarters, the control centre inside 11-year old Riley’s mind, Inside Out follows five Emotions who are hard at work, led by light-hearted optimist Joy, whose…
