Win 1 of 2 Gothic themed adult colouring classics

Every year Halloween celebrations seem to get bigger and better. This year our preparations started quite early. We’ve already made a start on our Halloween crafts, we shared our egg carton ghosts yesterday, and have so many more planned. Halloween is fun for my children but it has a much darker side that you are probably more familiar with. If you are a fan of Halloween then you may be interested in two brand new adult colouring books – Emily Bronte’s Wuthering Heights and Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Hand print leaf craft for kids

You can’t have missed the fact that Autumn has arrived in the northern hemisphere. Last week we celebrated the Autumn Equinox and went on a walk to see how many different leaves we could find. I love Autumn and nothing beats going for a walk, kicking leaves and spotting signs of nature changing all around us. Over the last few days my daughter has filled the basket on her scooter with leaves and conkers. We have a nature table at home which was over flowing so decided to use some of the leaves we had found. Hand print Autumn leaf…

Apple Pigs by Ruth Gary Orbach

I love Autumn and I’m happy that I seem to have passed on a love of seasons to my children too. They have really embraced Autumn this year. Last month we went to our first proper Apple Day event, held at Hughenden Manor, our local National Trust place. Someone please tell my children though, as they always struggle a little with the extra hour. I love this fun infographic with 20 suggestions of things to do with that extra hour. I like the sound of making an extra special family breakfast. The children keep asking for pancakes so perhaps it will be pancakes for them and a healthy fry up for the grown ups.…
