Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while although now I’m moved it to Sunday. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to sit down and write.
Sunday Happy Things {Week 439}
I’d love to say we’ve had a quiet weekend since our epic weekend exploring Kent last weekend. As usual it was a pretty busy week for us, with lots of activities for the kids which kept us all busy. It was super cold last week and on Wednesday we woke up to a light covering of snow, definitely not enough to keep anyone from school or work though.
We spent some time on the garden as the weather is slowly getting warmer again. We put up new fences and visited the garden centre for some ideas. My daughter and I planted some tomato seeds and they are growing so quickly. I can’t wait to be able to plant them up outside.
Over the weekend we made some Red Nose Day gingerbread biscuits. We added red M&Ms to gingerbread but the kids loved them – and promptly ate them all. Hopefully I will have time to bake another batch before Red Nose Day – check out this post if you are looking for more Red Nose Day activities.
I’ve been trying to share some of the crafts we’ve made as we’ve made so many things but I never seem to have the time to share them. Last week I managed to share how to decorate candles with pressed leaves as well as our recycled Golden Syrup tin candles.

March 16, 2023 at 9:46 amI made the mistake of buying new fences around Christmas but we need to paint them and it’s just not been warm enough to do that so they’ve been sat in the garden for months, so glad you managed to get yours done x
