Monday Happy List

Sunday Happy Things {Week 418}

Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to sit down and write. I’m mixing things up a little by posting this weekly post on Sunday instead of Monday!

Sunday Happy Things {Week 418}

Last week just flew by. My daughter was busy at school as she took her Bikeability level 1 and 2. She really enjoyed cycling to school and it has given her lots of confidence to cycle to school when she starts secondary school.

We love celebrating Halloween and have lots of fun Halloween crafts and activities for families. Our Spooky accordion fold bat craft for kids is proving popular this year, as is How to make an origami Witch’s Hat. I wanted to make something a little more grown up, so stitched a couple of Halloween cross stitch hoops, using a free pattern from Cotton Clara.

We spent a bit of time on the garden, there’s still a lot in flower despite the autumnal weather. I re-potted the garlic bulbs we bought from the Garlic Farm on the Isle of Wight. They have been growing so quickly and needed bigger pots. I’ve planted some outside in pots and planted some in my greenhouse to see which grow better.

My daughter played in her first netball cluster last week. They were playing Hive Five Netball which is a shorter version of the game. The cluster was with other Year 6 teams from local schools and a lot of fun to watch. My daughter loved it and will hopefully get picked to play again.

On Saturday we made a trip to Glow in One Watford for a round of glow in the dark mini golf. We had so much fun and it was lovely to try something new.

Have a great week everyone!
