Monday Happy List

Summer Holidays edit {Week 355}

Moor Otters Trail

Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List  is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to write.

Summer Holidays edit {Week 355}

The first week of our Summer holidays just flew by. My son spent the week at his new school so my daughter and I stayed local, walking the dog, reading books and crafting together. We finally got round to using her Pop Its collection to make our own chocolate bars which she really enjoyed.

I had plenty of time to stitch and sew the remaining blocks of The Summer Sampler. I posted a little update of all the finished blocks. Some were quicker to sew than others but I enjoyed sewing and stitching all of them. The final step is to sew the blocks together and make the quilt. We’re busy for the next few weeks but this is something I want to do over the summer.

My husband took our daughter to HarroWall, a Climbing Centre in Harrow. She’s been to Rock Up in Watford a few times but wanted to try somewhere different. She had a great time trying out all the different climbing walls and can’t wait to go back.

You can go crazy and get creative this summer courtesy of POP! Every day of the summer holiday, from 11:30am to 3pm, they’re showing back-to-back episodes of Total Dramarama and Alvinnn!!! and the Chipmunks! Kids can take their silliest picture, go to their website – popfun.co.uk – to add some brand new Alvin/Total Dramarama stickers on the Artpad, and submit for the chance to be seen on POP and win some great prizes! POP is available on Freeview 206, Sky 614, Freesat 603 and Virgin 736.

We’re enjoying a few days in Devon and couldn’t wait to go otter spotting. The Moor Otters Trail consists of 81 decorated Otter with Cub sculptures have been released onto Dartmoor to create four arts trails, standing tall on plinths waiting to be spotted. There are 4 trails to follow and you can pick up trail maps and tick them off as you find them. My daughter loves otters and really enjoyed tracking them down.

Have a great week everyone!

    My children love going to places where they can climb. I’m not surprised your daughter can’t wait to go back.

    Pop sounds like fun, I know both my kids would love to give it a go as they are spending a few days at home when we are not out and about.
