The 7 year old, and his father, are huge Star Wars fans. Recently my son has been watching the Star Wars Forces of Destiny on YouTube so was delighted to be sent one of the new Star Wars Forces of Destiny toys from Hasbro.
Star Wars Forces of Destiny is an animated micro-series celebrating some of Star Wars‘ most beloved and inspirational characters. The series of animated shorts can be watched on Disney YouTube, exploring all-new adventures of fan-favourites.
The Star Wars Forces of Destiny toys, includes new adventure figures – a mix of traditional dolls and action figures. The toys are 11-inch inches high, have rooted hair, two removable outfits and have articulated arms and legs. We received the new Star Wars Forces of Destiny Endor Adventure – Leia and Wicket figures to review.
Star Wars Forces of Destiny figures
Princess Leia Organa is a bold leader of the Rebel Alliance. During a mission on Endor, she meets Wicket the Ewok. Their friendship leads to victory as the Rebels and Ewoks join forces against the evil Empire!
The first thing you notice is that the Princess Leia figure looks nothing like the actress Carrie Fisher who played Leia. At first this was a bit off-putting! However we loved her two outfits, accessories and amazing hairstyle.
The Wicket figure is highly realistic and comes with his spear. Although my son has a huge collection of Star Wars figures this is the first 11-inch inch figure we have. It’s a great toy for fans of Star Wars Forces of Destiny and I can’t wait to see more from this series. Watch our unboxing video to find out more about this set:
Star Wars Forces of Destiny range from Hasbro
A Star Wars Forces of Destiny Jyn Erso and Rey of Jakku with BB-8 friend are also available. There are other types of toys in the Star Wars Forces of Destiny range, including the Rey of Jakku Extendable Staff which snaps out to over 3.5 feet long (104 cm). Combine with Lightsabers from the BladeBuilders system (each sold separately) and imagine them protecting the innocent traders of Jakku with a custom fighting staff!
