I have a lovely simple Halloween craft to share today. They’ve been a huge hit with my children and you’ll soon see why. Spooky Oreo eye cookies are simple to make but look brilliant as a special Halloween treat. Here’s how we made ours.
You will need:
1 pack of Oreos
Green gel icing
Chocolate buttons
Red icing
How to make Spooky Oreo eye cookies
The first step is to carefully remove the top of your Oreo. Slide a knife underneath the top biscuit and gently pull off. Some of mine broke whilst doing this but this half isn’t needed. My children were happy to eat the discarded pieces!
Then we gathered the rest of our supplies.
The children took it in turns to place a dollop of green gel icing in the middle of each cookie.
Then the other child added a chocolate button. They had quite a production line going.
To finish off our spooky Oreo eyes we added broken blood vessels with a smaller tube of red icing.
They looked a little gross but the children loved them.
