Rudolph Reindeer Decoration Sewing Kits

Simple Christmas crafts for kids

Posted on December 1, 2016February 9, 2019 by jenny

A few weeks ago we received a wonderful parcel containing Christmas crafts for kids from Baker Ross. Here’s what we thought of them.

Both my children are interested in sewing so loved the Rudolph Reindeer Decoration Sewing Kits. There are 3 assorted colours and each kit includes pre-cut felt shapes, self-adhesive felt pieces, yarn, stuffing, wiggle-eyes, ribbon and plastic needle. My 5 year old made this one and it was her first sewing project! I thought it was perfect for her and she was so happy with the finished reindeer.

Our house always receives a visit from the Elf on the Shelf on December 1st so I knew both my children would love these kits. It was the first kit they chose to do and I wrote a little more about the Christmas Elf Mix and Match Decoration Kits over here.

Scratch art is always popular and the Christmas Scratch Art Pictures are great for this time of year. For some reason my children want to follow the designs on the packaging so I tried to encourage them to be creative and design their own.

I always carry some colouring around with me and these Christmas Bauble Colour-in Window Decorations kept the children busy whilst we went out for dinner last week. The pack of 12 includes 6 assorted designs – Santa in his sleigh, Angel, Skiing Penguin, Robin, Elf  and Skating Snowman. The decorations are printed on translucent paper so you simply colour them in, then hang them in a window.

We previously made some fun cross stitch bookmarks so both children were keen to make the Christmas Pals Cross Stitch Cards. Each pack contains pre-punched card designs, assorted 4m length coloured threads, plastic sewing needles and pre-gummed envelopes. There are 6 assorted designs – Reindeer, Santa, Penguin, Snowman, Owl and Gingerbread Man.

We all love gingerbread so the Gingerbread House Photo Frame Decorations were a big hit. They made a great after school activity and will look great hung on our tree.

Love those! Sometimes the simple crafts are the best aren’t they?
