Siblings {July 2017}

Posted on July 16, 2017March 4, 2018 by jenny

I’m sure that I’m feeling like most parents right now – enjoying the feeling of life slowing down for the end of term next week. Life reached fever pitch just around the time my son took his Year 2 SATs and since them I have felt him slowly unwind, becoming the lovely happy boy I know him to be. I think it’s safe to say he has done little work at school this half term. Their Leavers Assembly seems to have taken a silly amount of the school day and they’ve had ‘Golden Time’ daily, rather than on the usual Friday afternoon.

The last few weeks have been fun with new milestones and achievements. There were new belts at karate, Sports Day and Report Day. My 7 year old lost his second tooth (which he pulled out himself!) and my daughter has grown so tall we need to buy her a new desk. I love watching them together – best and worst of friends.

Gaining the next level in karate (I never get a good picture as they move so quickly!)

I was beginning to think my children always stood in the same order, like Ant and Dec, until I found this photo from Sports Day

Both my children have worked hard this year so we’re really looking forward to kicking back over the holidays. We have some amazing adventures lined up which we will be sharing here.

    Such gorgeous photographs, it certainly looks as though your two have had a very busy few weeks.

    I have always wanted to join in with this linky but can’t as I only have one child. Anyway I still love reading about siblings and they seem to be doing some lovely things together. I love the Karate. Sylvia has recently started Kung Fu with her dad. She is 3 weeks into it so at early stages. πŸ™‚ I think sports, with a parent or sibling is a great thing!

    A great pair, that seem to have been very busy of late. Some great achievements. I hope they enjoy the summer break, I’m sure they will have plenty going on, but the break from school is much appreciated from parents point of view. For the first few weeks anyway πŸ˜‰

    Aw it made me smile how close they are. Congrats on going to the next level in karate and I used to love climbing trees as a kid. I would happily do it as an adult if I could haha xx

    They look so cute together. I’m also glad things are finally slowing down ready for the holidays. I can’t wait to be off on adventures with my daughter.
