My 6 year old came home from school on Friday, proudly telling me how many days were left until the School holidays. I admit this filled me with dread as I haven’t really started thinking about the Summer holidays just yet.
We will be spending much of the school holidays at home as my husband isn’t very well. This means I will be researching for days out close to home and looking for ways to keep my children occupied at home.
One thing I’m really keen to achieve this summer is for my 4 year old to enjoy cycling more. She sees her older brother cycle for miles but she is happier on her scooter. I would love for her to be a little happier and confident on two wheels. We popped into our local Halfords over the weekend, and amongst the wonderful Orla Kiely display, we looked at new bikes. My 6 year old grown out of his bike too so we were looking for the best Halfords deals to help us save some money.
I’ve written before about how much effort we’ve put in to our garden. We’ve always tried to make it an inviting place to be and I think we’ve succeeded as the children usually choose to go outside and play after school if the weather is good. As well as their sand pit and water table we have our homemade mud kitchen. They also have their own play house stuffed full of outdoor toys.
I’m sure that a lot of parents read my blog and with the summer holidays coming up you may also be looking to save on products for outdoor activities. Here’s a really great site for up-to-date voucher codes for Halfords if you’re looking for Halfords promo codes.
