Monday happy things {Week 131}

Monday happy things {Week 131}

Posted on April 3, 2017 by jenny

I’m so pleased that today is the first day of our Easter holidays. My children were so happy to finish school on Friday and we had a really relaxing weekend together. I’m just excited that we have a break from our routine for 2 weeks. There are no after school clubs or running around. I’m hoping the children get the chance to be bored as usually life is so busy for them. I have lots planned but we all need to relax first.

Monday happy things {Week 131}

Last week I volunteered to go on a school trip with my daughter and her class. This term they have been learning about the farm and they spent the day at the farm. I think that Spring is the best season as we got to see all the baby animals. Of course there was plenty of time to play too, although it felt like a lot of time was spent visiting the loo! I love helping with the children and I had a great time with them.

We did our last Playmobil review last week. I can’t believe we’ve been Playmobil Playologists for 4 years which is just crazy. I love looking back through our posts as the children have changed so much in four years. I’m pleased to say we have a brilliant collection of Playmobil toys which are all still played with and loved. In fact, my living room floor is currently covered with them. You can see the first post I wrote here and our latest review of the new Roman range is here.

Miffy tulip bulbs in the garden

My mum came to visit for a few days which was fun. The children loved having her around and she helped me sort out the garden as usual. We’ve planted lots of new things and the children got their own planters too. I love seeing the garden come back to life. The Miffy bulbs we planted last year are looking good too.

On Saturday I sang in a concert with my choir. I love Easter music and we sang Mozart’s Missa Brevis in D Mozart, Mozart’s Ave Verum Corpus and Haydn’s Nelson Mass. My family came along to listen and it was a really lovely evening.

papercutting a garden picture

I managed to squeeze in some papercutting from the latest Embellish Box. The theme is gardening which we seem to be doing plenty of at the moment.

Have a great week everyone.

    Seems you have the holiday activities all sorted. I love classics and listen to Mozart on Sunday afternoons, I would have enjoyed the concert!

    Wow! What a jam-packed week of fun. Loved visiting the farm when I was little…still do now!

    Thanks for sharing!
