This morning we shared the fun we’ve been having with the new Ravensburger Minions Movie Jigsaw Puzzle. We love those little yellow Minions so thought we’d make our own Minion play dough.
Recipe for Minion play dough:
150g plain flour
100g salt
2 tsp. cream of tartar
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
140ml water
How to make Minion play dough:
Place all the dry ingredients in a bowl and mix. Add the oil and half the water and mix well. Stir a sachet of lemonade flavoured drink mix powder Kool Aid with the remaining water until the powder has dissolved and add to the play dough. Combine well, using your hands as necessary, until a dough has formed.
When you are happy with your yellow Minion dough set up an invitation to play. I added some empty Kinder Egg shells, different sized craft sticks and googly eyes on a tray and left it out for my children to discover.
We love play dough and themed play dough seems to add an extra dimension for my two. They were happy covering the Kinder Egg shells with the play dough, rolling the play dough into balls and adding sticks for arms and legs. My 5 year old enjoyed making his own Minions.
My 3 year old did too (although hers weren’t quite so recognisable!).
