I love sharing my finds with you so today I wanted to tell you about Live, Love and Create. They are a husband and wife team who operate a small family run pottery, craft studios, gift shop and tea room in a wonky old shop in rural North Lincolnshire. Recently they have launched one of their most popular products, personalised drawing tiles, to the wider world via their new online shop.
They invited me to try out a personalised tie and I knew it would make the perfect birthday present for my mum. She loves receiving letters and drawings from the children so I thought she would enjoy one of my son’s drawings immortalised on a tile.
I gave my son a blank piece of paper (measuring 20cmx20cm) and he got to work. There’s lots of hints and tips and a run down of the process on the ‘Ordering Guide’ section of their website. He drew a picture of him with Nanny in pencil. He wrote her name, his name and age.
I scanned his picture and emailed it off. A few days later a lovely tile arrived, carefully packaged in bubble wrap.
What do you think? We love it and I can’t wait to see my mum’s expression when she opens it. I almost don’t want to give it away, perhaps I should make one for myself to keep!

We had a paint your own pots (and tiles) shop here for a while. I loved it and one year everyone got tiles for Christmas. Sadly it’s long gone, so I can see this is a good replacement.
