Perfect on Paper {review}

Perfect on Paper by Gillian Harvey

I’ve really been enjoying reading over the last year. To me, reading is perfect escapism and I love having a couple of books on the go. I was recently gifted a copy of Perfect on Paper by Gillian Harvey and today I am taking part in the Perfect on Paper blog tour.

Perfect on Paper

Clare’s life might look ‘perfect on paper’, but she’s ready to shake things up and put herself first for once… A fun and uplifting novel from Gillian Harvey, author of Everything is Fine.

It’s time to shake things up a little…

Clare Bailey’s life is perfect. Successful career, loving husband, two kids and a gorgeous townhouse. At least, that’s how it looks from the outside.

In fact, she’s never felt more invisible. Her boss barely remembers her name, her husband is distracted by his new TV job and her daughter has never found her more embarrassing!

But when she’s given a chance to turn her life upside-down she wonders whether she should risk everything she loves for a life that’s more than just ‘perfect on paper’…?

I loved reading this book. It was a lovely light-hearted read after I finished the more weighty The Dream Weavers last week. I instantly felt like Clare could be one of my friends, I think all mothers can relate to her! I enjoyed the story and couldn’t wait to read it whenever I had the chance!

Perfect on Paper was published in Paperback Original, eBook and audio on 13th May 2021 by Orion Fiction, priced £8.99. To find more reviews of Perfect in Paper you can follow the blog tour – just look out for #perfectonpaper.

    The book sounds lovely. As you, after reading some weighty books, I get one which is just nice and relaxing. I’m glad you’ve enjoyed it.

    This sounds like an entertaining read. I recently got back into reading again (the stress of the pandemic affected my concentration and attention-span) and am enjoying burying myself in some good books again!
