Paw Patrol inspired cupcakes

Paw Patrol inspired cupcakes

Posted on April 30, 2017 by jenny

My 5 year old demanded we bake some cakes this weekend and she knew just what she wanted to make – Paw Patrol inspired cupcakes. She’s been a big fan of those Paw Patrols pups since she started nursery last year and her obsession shows no sign of waning just yet.

Paw Patrol inspired cupcakes

Paw Patrol inspired cupcakes were pretty easy to make. We made a simple but delicious chocolate batter and filled some cute cases with the mixture.

My daughter loves licking the spoons and bowls and could do this all day long.

When the cupcakes were baked and cooled we started on decorating them. First of all we made a delicious chocolate buttercream and gathered supplies of large and small white chocolate buttons.

I covered the top of each cupcake with chocolate buttercream whilst my daughter made a paw print with the white chocolate buttons. I think she ate more cake and buttons than decorating but never mind. She loves to bake (and eat!).

I may have helped finish off the last few cakes as she was covered in buttercream and had sticky hands. Baking always ticks the boxes in our house and I love starting the week with the cake tin full!

We were both pretty proud of our Paw Patrol inspired cupcakes. Have you watched Paw Patrol? It’s an animated series about a boy called Ryder who leads a team of rescue pups (Marshall, Rubble, Chase, Rocky, Zuma and Skye) who save their town from everyday emergencies. It’s a crazy show but it makes my children so happy!

We’ve huge dog lovers at our house and these are the cutest things! They made me smile a million times over. I’m bookmarking and the next time my grandson is visiting we’ll be making a batch.
