Painted Spring flower craft for kids

Kinder egg Easter chick craft?

I haven’t posted many of the crafts we have made lately but that doesn’t mean we haven’t been busy. After school is our special time to craft, and with the evenings noticeably longer, we have been painting Spring flowers.

The children chose their favourite colours, I gathered some card and a variety of forks and we started our Spring flower craft. Have you ever tried painting with forks? It may sound a little crazy but the shape is perfect for making tulips!

You will need:
green paint and a couple of different colours for the flowers
forks
sheet of card

This is such a fun craft for kids, and pretty simple too. Simply dip the end of your fork in the paint and press it down on a sheet of card.

You can stick to one colour or many, and you can make a wonderful bunch of Spring flowers.

The children experimented with different sizes of forks to make big and small tulips. They then painted on the stalks.

We don’t use paint very often but this was a nice reminder to get it out more often as they both enjoyed it so much.

We’ve hung our paintings to remind us that Spring is on the way. The weather is very changeable but it can’t be long now!

This is so good! My eight year old would love doing this and I’m not very good at coming up with ideas, so this has really helped me out! Thank you!
