Although we’re not yet in December we couldn’t resist a little Christmas experiment this weekend. My daughter loved experimenting with Skittles and we had fun experimenting with the classic Skittles experiment, and adapting it for a little Halloween science too. We thought it would work just as well for Christmas so designed a Christmas tree Skittles experiment for kids. Christmas tree Skittles experiment for kids You don’t need much equipment. Just a big bag of Skittles, a white plate, and a jug of cold water. You could also grab a timer if you want to time how quickly the colour…

A lot of people work out to lose weight and tone their bodies but some people exercise with the intent to gain weight and build as much muscle mass as possible. Gaining weight might sound easy for some of us, but it can actually be very challenging, especially if you are trying to build significant amounts of muscle and not just increase your overall weight. Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to write. Monday Happy Things {Week 370} Last week felt really busy with the Bichon Frise puppy celebrating his second birthday and my last day at work. I’ve been a huge fan of gingerbread for as long as I can remember. Every year I love to source gingerbread items to try at home with the family. This year I haven’t managed to find as many gingerbread themed items as previous years. However, I thought I would publish now and add any more products I find later. So far I’ve picked up quite a few gingerbread house kits, gingerbread biscuits and even gingerbread flavoured chocolate. My Gingerbread Gift Guide 2021 features the best gingerbread kits and more, all of which make the perfect gift. 2021 Gingerbread Gift Guide…

I am so excited for December 1st to arrive. Advent is a wonderful time of year and I love watching my kids enjoy their Advent calendars which help them count down the days to Christmas. Every year we seem to discover more and more types of Advent calendar. They are a great way to make the days in December and my children usually enjoy a chocolate calendar as well as one which contains a toy or small activity. This year we were introduced to the wonderful idea of a jigsaw puzzle advent calendar from Wentworth Puzzles. The Santa’s Workshop Advent…

I always start my Christmas planning in September as I like to be able to save money and make lots of handmade gifts.
