Both my kids have gone crazy for bottles of Prime! I’ve managed to buy a few of the flavours in Asda and Sainsbury’s but they are so hard to get hold of if you don’t want to spend over the asking price. Prime was developed by KSI & Logan Paul to refresh, replenish, and refuel. There are currently nine flavours, including Blue Raspberry, Lemon Lime and Grape. I haven’t managed to get my hands on any bottles of Prime for a while so I thought I would make my own, painted rock, versions. We love to decorate rocks and these…

Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while although now I’m moved it to Sunday. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to sit down and write. Sunday Happy Things {Week 440} Last week I finished reading The Housekeepers by Alex Hay. I wrote a review of it here and it’s book 6 of my Goodreads 2023 Reading Challenge. I really enjoyed this book…

Big thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. I was more than happy to read The Housekeepers by Alex Hay, the description hooked me in and it went to the top of the reading pile. British Science Week is a ten-day celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths. The Week is an annual calendar event for schools, community groups, libraries, museums, galleries and big business up and down the country. This year British Science Week takes place between 10th-19th March 2023 and there are a whole host of ways to celebrate at home, at school and beyond. The theme for British Science Week is ‘connections’ which can be explored through online events, low-resource activities and more. I thought it would be fun to round-up some of our most popular science, technology, engineering and maths activities to…

How have I never made Red Nose Day gingerbread biscuits before? We love to make gingerbread in all different shapes and sizes but someone we’ve just never made Red Nose Day gingerbread biscuits. This is a simple way to help celebrate Red Nose Day – and would make an easy fundraiser for a school event (or after school treat!). Red Nose Day gingerbread biscuits You can use your favourite gingerbread recipe to make the biscuits. I actually used a gingerbread house kit which was left over from Christmas. First of all I made the gingerbread dough and found some red…

Have you been watching Crufts over the last few days? Crufts is an international dog show held annually in the United Kingdom, first held in 1891. It’s organised and hosted by The Kennel Club, the official kennel club of the United Kingdom. Crufts is the largest show of its kind in the world. We’ve always enjoyed watching Crufts, but since our own Kennel Club registered pup came along, we have been avid watchers of Crufts. Our pup is related to a previous Bichon Frise winner, although not sure that ours has inherited any of those winning characteristics! We have a…

It’s a post I always love to sit down and write. Sunday Happy Things {Week 439} I’d love to say we’ve had a quiet weekend since our epic weekend exploring Kent last weekend. As usual it was a pretty busy week for us, with lots of activities…

I love to recycle items and found I had a few Golden Syrup tins which I had collected due to their pretty packaging. Lyle’s Golden Syrup is a British heritage brand and their tins are instantly recognisable. Occasionally they do special tins, such as the one created for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Edition in 2022. I do like to buy these kind of items then wonder what to do with them when I’ve used the contents! The Lyle’s Golden Syrup tin was just the perfect shape to re-purpose into a unique candle, so I had a go. First of all…
