This Thursday between 2 and 4pm we will be taking part in the Go Jetters Twitter Party with Fisher-Price, CBeebies and UKMumsTV. My daughter loves watching Go Jetters on CBeebies so I knew she would love to take part in the Twitter Party. Go Jetters is a really fun and educational programme, all about four adventure-seeking superhero Go Jetters as they explore places around planet Earth. There are some really fun new Go Jetters toys from Fisher-Price and we are so excited to be able to share some of them with you today and during the Twitter Party. As usual…

I don’t share a lot of very personal things of my blog but you may have noticed that my blog posts and social media presence have been all over the place for the last 2 weeks. My husband had elective surgery recently but there were some complications, meaning he was in hospital a lot longer than we envisioned. Trying to juggle daily hospital visits whilst keeping the children in a normal routine has been absolutely exhausting and something had to slide. Hopefully my husband will be discharged from hospital any day and I’m hoping to be able to kick back…

I know there are some amazing and hotly anticipated films coming out this summer; think Finding Dory, Ghostbusters and The BFG. So I was pretty excited to learn about the new adaptation of Swallows and Amazons, the classic children’s story by Arthur Ransome, was being updated for the big screen. This morning we were invited along to watch it before it is released on 19th August. Swallows and Amazon is a classic, I read the book when I was a child and longed for the same adventures as John, Susan, Titty and Roger Walker. There has been one adaptation, back…

Every month I challenge myself to make the Mollie Makes magazine cover gift. I’ve subscribed since it first came out and have a drawer full of unopened kits – but no more! I’ve been making more time for crafting and I love to make the kits and hopefully try something new with each of the cover gifts. Issue 68 included the Mollie Makes Cacti & Succulent Mini Hoop Art kit. It contained everything needed – 2 mini wooden hoops, grey cotton fabric, embroidery threads and a needle. Inside the magazine was a page of 8 patterns for cacti and succulents.…

Last month I treated myself to 24 hours away from my family to attend the annual Blogtacular conference in London. I can’t really explain why I booked a ticket for this year. Looking back at the previous year, I enjoyed myself, took some notes, but nothing really changed for me. I had some ideas on how I wanted to improve my blog and my Etsy shop, but they either weren’t exciting enough to make me do them, or didn’t seem that important. Roll on 12 months and I found myself sitting in a room surrounded by creative types again. I…

My children keep seeing adverts for Cra-Z-Sand so were excited to receive the Cra-Z-Sand Deluxe Glitter Pony playset from Character Options to review. Every child loves to play with sand, and what’s better than sand that you can shape and mould without water? Cra-Z-Sand is the amazing mess-free way to play with sand indoors. This sand is easy to mould and release in little hands and never dries out, so can be played with again and again! The Deluxe Pony playset RPP £19.99 comes with 3 different colours of glittery sand; pink, blue and white. There are two pony moulds, an…

A new 2016 edition of The BFG has recently been published by Puffin Books. With a new foreword by Lucy Dahl and exclusive fun activities inside, including: Draw Your Dream, BFG Draw-along with Quentin Blake, BFG Quiz and much more! The cover ties in with the film and this is sure to be a classic copy for my children’s generation. For those not familiar with the story: On a dark, silvery moonlit night, Sophie is snatched from her bed by a giant. Luckily it is the Big Friendly Giant, the BFG, who only eats snozzcumbers and glugs frobscottle. But there…

I’m so excited that my children have their last few days of school. We are all so ready for a more relaxed routine and to de-school. The end of term has brought it’s usual flurry of activities: Both my children had excellent School reports so I’ve been the proudest mum imaginable. I’m so glad they enjoy school and do well at everything they try. One of my 6 year olds’ after school clubs is football and I was surprised when he was named Footballer of the Year. I think this is for making so much progress over the year. I…

As much as I am looking forward to the School holidays I have been thinking how to help my children having the dreaded brain drain. They have had their Class Swap morning at school and know who their new teachers and class mates will be. This will be a slightly different Summer for us as my husband is currently in hospital. He will be out of action for a good few weeks so we will be staying local for most of the holidays. I’ve been looking for ways to stop the Summer brain drain as they have both learned so…
