There is so much excitement about the new The Lego Batman Movie in our house. You may remember we were lucky to attend the premiere a few weeks ago. Both my children love their superheroes so I knew they would love the DC Super Friends Arkham Asylum from Imaginext. Imaginext DC Super Friends Arkham Asylum Little superheroes can re-enact scenes from their favourite DC Super Friends adventures and create exciting new stories of their own. In the Imaginext world…anything is possible. We already had a few Imaginext figures so my children were really excited when I showed them the Arkham…

I’m really enjoying reading books at the moment and the latest good read is the lovely Paper Hearts and Summer Kisses by Carole Matthews. I haven’t read anything by this author before but it’s her 29th book so I’m not sure which rock I’ve been hiding under! A heart-warming and poignant novel of romance, family and second chances, Paper Hearts and Summer Kisses is Sunday Times bestselling Carole Matthews at her outstanding best. Perfect for fans of Jill Mansell and Milly Johnson. Christie Chapman is a single working mother who spends her days commuting to her secretarial job in London…

This is the first year that my children’s school has celebrated World Book Day. Previously they have given out the tokens but never asked the children to dress up. I always enjoyed looking at my Facebook feed and seeing what everyone dressed their children up as, this year it was our turn to take part! My daughter loves dressing up but my son never has. I asked them both what they wanted to be. My 5 year old immediately said Batman! We’ve never read a Batman book but we were lucky to receive one when we attended The Lego Batman…

You all know that I love my monthly subscription boxes. I find that a monthly magazine and subscription box landing on my door mat really encourages me to be creative. I find it hard to see projects through (hello Shipping Forecast Quilt project!) but a monthly sub box is the perfect size for me. I was kindly sent a Craftiosity Sub Box to review. It’s a subscription box of modern craft kits (with single kits also available), with a completely new craft and make every other month. A lovely box was handed to me by my postie (it’s too large to…

Last year was the year of the Num Noms, with the collectable, scented craze making its way into households across the UK. 2017 sees the launch of Series 3 and Lights, bringing brand new food themes and funky characters to the shelves, to create even more ways to collect! We’re celebrating the arrival of these new wacky stackables today on Pancake Day, by combining our favourite Num Noms flavours with our favourite food-related day. It’s time to get creative and share – what’s your flavour? We were sent a selection of the Series 3 Num Noms to inspire our Pancake Day…

The other day one of my friends posted on Facebook how surprised she was that it took her four years to settle into her new home. Now, she moved from London to the South West, but I feel exactly the same just moving across London. It’s coming up to four years in our ‘new’ house and our home improvements show no signs of ending. Although we loved the vintage features of our previous house – read infested wooden floors and huge gaps between the floorboards – our modern house is so different. For a start it’s always warm; so quick…

It’s been a strange old week. The children only had 4 days at school thanks to an Inset Day but they’ve both been quite tired and grumpy getting back into the school routine. Today my 6 year old asked when the Summer holidays were going to start. I didn’t want to break it to him that he still had a good few weeks months of school left. Monday Happy List {Week 126} Although we finished the new kitchen a few months ago we had half an idea about putting wallpaper up on one wall. We finally chose a pattern we…

Every month I challenge myself to make the Mollie Makes magazine cover gift. I’ve subscribed since it first came out and have had a drawer full of unopened kits – but no more! I’ve been making more time for grown up crafting and I love to make the kits and hopefully try something new. Mollie Makes Scandi Florals Hoop Kit The kit with issue 76 of Mollie Makes was designed by Zeena Shah and contained 1x plastic embroidery hoop, printed cotton fabric, as well as embroidery threads (pink, aqua, coral, yellow and blue) and a sewing needle. I gave the…
