Nerf Zombie Strike Outbreaker Bow

Nerf Zombie Strike Outbreaker Bow

Posted on March 19, 2017February 28, 2019 by jenny

My son has wanted a Nerf blaster for a long time. He’s quite a gentle soul so I’ve always been a bit surprised when he’s mentioned getting one. He’s a very creative boy who loves his Lego and making things. Last Summer I bought him a Nerf water blaster as he was taking part in a massive water fight for their last Beavers session before the holidays. Most of the children had Nerf blasters and water pistols and his certainly held up well in their water fight.

So when we were offered the new Nerf Zombie Strike Outbreaker Bow from Hasbro to review, I knew he would love it.

Nerf Zombie Strike Outbreaker Bow

Defend against the zombie hordes with Nerf Zombie Strike Outbreaker Bow, equipped with a rotating drum that holds up to 5 darts. Prime the bow to get it ready to fire, then pull the trigger to unleash 1 dart. With its 5-dart drum, the crossbow lets zombie defenders blast 5 darts in a row without reloading to keep the zombies from closing in!

I like the fact this toy came with a bit of a backstory. My son loved the look of it but immediately thought it was Chewie’s from Star Wars – not really sure where he got that idea from!

Nerf Zombie Strike Outbreaker Bow

The Nerf Outbreaker Bow was simple to put together and has been designed to look like it is made of different tools – pliers, a wrench and a pair of scissors. It is bright green and orange, so not a typical boy or girl colour. It’s easy to load and fire, and my children have been having so much fun with it that I wish I had bought one before. They’ve used it both inside the house and outside.

I’ve heard a lot about Nerf toys and this is fun and easy to use. You can probably guess that we’ve all been shot in the back a few times, ‘by accident’ of course. We’ve reinforced the idea that the children are not to shoot anyone in the face or look down the barrel whilst they are loading it. The only downside is that it only came with 5 darts. These quickly get lost so I know I will be buying some extras, just in case!

The Nerf Zombie Strike Outbreaker Bow is priced around £22.99 and available from Amazon and all good toy shops.

Oh wow this looks perfect for the slightly older action boy or girl in the family – I would of loved one of these when I was younger

This is actually brilliant – I wonder if my husband would mind my buying one…
