    Halloween teacake spider treats

    I’ve been excited by the thought of Halloween for a while now. We actually went on a little Halloween shopping spree a few weeks ago and I couldn’t help but be excited by some Halloween crafting with the children. Today I’m joining up with some other bloggers and taking part in a Halloween Blog Hop organised by The Moments at Home. Our Halloween craft is Halloween teacake spider treats. I love teacakes and they can be decorated in so many ways throughout the changing seasons – see our teacake Christmas puds here. Teacake spiders are fun and taste delicious too! Halloween…

    Monday Happy Things {Week 156}

    Happy Monday morning everyone! I’d forgotten how quickly the weeks go when the kids are back at school. They’ve both settled into their new years so well and I’ve been really proud of them. I haven’t enjoyed policing the increased amount of homework though and we’ve had to tweak their reward charts to make sure it gets done! This week I reached 900 subs on YouTube which made me so happy. I love making videos with my children. I have hours of unedited footage which I’m not sure will ever see the light of day, but as long as my…

    Autumn days, when the grass is jewelled

    Photo by Allef Vinicius on Unsplash My husband is such an Alpha Male. He took us all out for the day yesterday and spent today boarding the loft! He’s really lovely and does so much for us all, I’m sure we never tell him how much we all love him. Our ninth wedding anniversary is coming up this week but we’ve been together for a whopping 14 years and known  each other for 16. We were driving around our old London stomping ground yesterday and it was quite strange remembering the places we used to go on date night, our favourite Italian restaurant…

    Win a personalised jigsaw puzzle from Tinyme

    My poor daughter has one of those special names which are never found on pencils, rubbers, notebooks or magnets. Whenever she sees a giftshop she always looks out for something with her name on – but never finds anything! Her name is beautiful and uncommon but I always feel a little sad for her that she can’t buy stickers or a door hanger with her name on it, unlike her brother. So when Tinyme got in touch and asked us to review their new personalised jigsaw puzzles I jumped at the chance to get one made with her name on. Tinyme…

    Power Rangers Ninja Steel toys review

    We were so lucky to receive some of the latest Power Rangers Ninja Steel toys to review. Do your children love Power Rangers? I remember the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers of my childhood and I’m so pleased that they are still around, just known as Power Rangers. Each series revolves around a team of youths recruited and trained by a mentor to morph into the eponymous Power Rangers, able to utilize special powers and pilot immense assault machines, called Zords, to overcome the antagonists. We were sent two toys from Power Rangers Ninja Steel to review. Power Rangers Ninja Steel is the 24th season…

    Siblings {September 2017}

    It’s funny how much can happen in a month. It’s been four weeks since I wrote my last Siblings post and I loved sorting out photos to include in my latest round up. For a start the days were a lot longer and warmer a month ago. And we were enjoying a lovely holiday – not back in the school routine like we are now. Our summer holidays were good and I’m glad we had a few adventures around the country. One of my favourite days out was in Bristol. The children love to stay in hotels and didn’t mind…

    Schleich Tractor with Trailer

    Schleich toys are so well made that they have always been popular in our house. They are realistic and detailed so something which my children frequently turn to. We were recently sent the Schleich Tractor with Trailer, from the Farm World range to review. Despite living in London we are frequent farm visitors so my children had no trouble fitting the tractor into their play. The tractor comes with a moving front loader, detachable trailer, farmer figure, cow and huge bale of hay. Take a look at the video we put together to show you all the different parts of…

    Umbrella paper plate sun catcher craft for kids {A-Z Play at Home}

    I can’t believe we’re already at the letter U in our weekly A-Z Play at Home blog hop. The letter U was an easy one for me as the weather is very autumnal and I’ve been carrying an umbrella with me at all times! Today I’m sharing our super sweet umbrella paper plate craft for kids. We used: paper plates contact paper coloured cellophane sheets scissors I drew the outline of an umbrella on the paper plate, making sure there was a generous edge around it. I cut it out and we covered one side with contact paper. Then my…
