On my mantle – March

My Mantle is looking a little pared back this month, completely by design. We’ve had Mother’s Day and two birthdays which has meant lots of new toys around the house. I love having a little space to curate and with Spring in the air I’m definitely channelling Spring indoors too.

Earlier this month I made a really easy DIY Pom pom tree. It was so simple but pretty and we’ve all enjoyed looking at it. It was looking a little squished in the glass jar so I moved it to my Orla Kiely vase and it has really spread out and looks at home.

I love that shop and picked up some seed trays which I planted with my daughter. They’re currently sitting on the kitchen windowsill absorbing the beautiful sunshine. I can’t wait to see some little shoots poking through.

Spring decorated mantle with pom pom treeI also have our Lego birds on display as I finally finished making the last one this week. It’s a lovely Lego set featuring a  Hummingbird, Blue Jay and Robin. Our house is full of Lego (I wrote about using a Tuff Spot for Lego play over on my other blog today too!) but it’s rare we grown ups have any Lego to play with.

three Lego Ideas Birds on stands I love these delicate birds, magically perched on their stands.

Have you been decorating for Easter yet? I can definitely feel Spring in the air and can’t wait to do some more decorating soon.

I love how creative you are. The pom pom tree is a great idea but my favourite has to be the Lego birds – so delicately beautiful! Looking forward to what else you do for Easter. 😉
