Never too young for books

I spent most of my childhood with my nose in a book and I’m really keen to pass this love of books on to my children. Firmly believing that it’s never too early to start reading with your child, I was delighted that Little Sis was sent a soft book and rattle for review from JellyboxUK.com. They sell luxury children’s and baby gifts including a selection of cloth books. We received Captain Calamari’s Treasure Hunt, a lovely story which Little Sis loves looking at with me.

The bright colours and tactile formats will delight little readers keen to explore. Bold, contrasting patterns throughout the books play an important role in developing your babies vision. Your baby will love to reach out and touch, lift and feel parts of the book which all aids hand-eye coordination. And of course, babies love to hear their parents reading, so hearing the light rhythm of your voice as you talk helps develop language and imagination skills. The back cover includes play ideas and ways to use the book.

JellyboxUK sources quality, practical and contemporary gifts that withstand the rough and tumble of daily baby life. Products can form part of a gift which may be delivered in a beautiful keepsake box. This can be re-used to store baby’s first items through their early days. We loved the packaging that the soft book and rattle came in, beautifully wrapped in tissue paper and in a lovely box. Little Sis now has her own memory box (like her brother’s) which contains her hospital identity bracelet, birth announcement and first babygro.

I absolutely agree – you can’t start early enough with books. We had bath books, wooden books, cloth books…

All four of my children are avid readers now!!
