Happy Monday everyone. Hope you had a great weekend. Each week I start off by writing my Monday mindfulness – 5 happy things blog post. It’s a great chance to reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures – it’s a post I always enjoy writing.
Monday mindfulness – 5 happy things
This week has gone super quickly as I had two days off, thanks to a work conference. I was so happy to have two days to myself and managed to do lots of Christmas shopping, get my hair cut and go out for lunch with my husband. It is so hard to juggle everything when I work 5 days a week so it was amazing to have a couple of days to get things done. I also got to take the children to school instead of Breakfast Club and go to Soft Start. I really miss these kinds of things now I work full time.
We managed to squeeze in a visit to Ikea as we’re planning some adjustments to my son’s bedroom. It was so much easier to look around without the children, although we still came out with a trolley full of things for the house.
The children have been super happy this week as we were sent a huge box of goodies from PlayStation which included lots of their latest games. My son is a huge gamer so has been trying out all the different games. I will have to tell you more about some of these games later this week.
Over the weekend we visited Oxygen Trampoline park which my daughter chose for her birthday treat. They managed two hours of jumping around and had a great time. I didn’t think it was as good as Rush but they had a lot of fun. Afterwards we went out for dinner. Her actual birthday is this week but we wanted to start celebrating early as she is so excited.
Yesterday we got up super early to meet up as our local RC racing track. We have been meaning to go for months but our weekends are always so busy. The children really enjoyed the chance to race their cars around a proper track and the weather wasn’t too cold so we stayed for a couple of hours.
Have a great week everyone.
