Family Life mindfulness Monday Happy List

Monday mindfulness – 5 happy things

Happy Monday everyone. Hope you had a great weekend. Each week I start off by writing my Monday mindfulness – 5 happy things blog post. It’s a great chance to reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures – it’s a post I always enjoy writing.

Monday mindfulness – 5 happy things

I’d like to think we had a quiet week after our adventure-packed weekend in Oxford last weekend. However, like most weeks, it’s been super busy at work and at home. Did you notice I have a new festive blog header? It’s been given a Christmassy feel with some snow, a robin and mistletoe. The lovely lady who designed my blog header refreshed it for me.

white box photo shoot

Speaking of all things festive, over the weekend I booked a festive family photo shoot. It was a white box photo shoot and the photographer took lots of different photos of us all which he will stitch together to tell a story. I can’t wait to see the results and share them with you. I’m hoping we will be able to use the finished photo as our Christmas card too for a really personal touch. The children loved the photo shoot as they took a few of their favourite things with them which helped them feel relaxed.

I’ve been feeling a lot more creative this week. I’m making more time for my crafts and reading. I’ve almost finished reading The Cactus and have had fun decorating gingerbread house painted rocks, papercutting and crafting with the children.

Disney's Ralph Breaks The Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 review

Yesterday we went to a special preview screening of Disney’s Ralph Breaks The Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2. We were invited by Dare To Be Different, a non-profit founded by former racing driver Susie Wolff which aims to increase the participation of women in all forms of motor racing. It was great to hear more about their work and meet some of their ambassadors.

We couldn’t have a trip to the West End without visiting the Lego Store in Leicester Square. We were so excited to see the special Lego Nifflers which had been created for the release of Fantastic Beasts 2. They also had a giant Ford Anglia lego car you could sit in with a backdrop of the Whomping Willow from Harry Potter.

I love your new banner, it’s so nice and Christmassy. That’s also such a cool idea to have a festive photoshoot x
