Happy Monday everyone. Hope you had a great weekend. The weather has been lovely all week (again!) – I’m actually getting a little bored of saying that ๐ Each week I start off by writing myย Monday mindfulness โ 5 happy things blog post. Itโs a great chance to reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures โ itโs a post I always enjoy writing.
Monday mindfulness – 5 happy things
My big news is that I started my new job! I’ve been a SAHM/WAHM for the last 8 years so it was always going to be a change going back to work. I had a great induction and feel positive that this is going to be a great adventure for me. The children have taken to Breakfast Club before school so it’s not impacting them too much. I love that I can still pick them up from school every day.
I’ve been a Section Assistant at Beavers for the last 6 months and finally received my uniform on Monday. I gave the Beavers two potential names and they picked the name Otter for me. So when we start again in September I will have an official name and uniform ๐
The only problem with working is that I have to miss important events my children are taking part in. I missed my son playing Clarineo in his first music concert as well as my daughters Sports Day. Luckily my husband was able to go to both but I felt pretty sad missing these things for the first time.
On Wednesday we missed the start of England playing in the World Cup as both children had their annual karate grading. It was so lovely to watch them and I hope they both passed. We find out this week. They also brought home glowing reports from school- you can definitely tell it’s nearly the end of term.
Our weekend was pretty calm so we could relax after a busy week. On Saturday we popped down to Cineworld South Ruislip. They were celebrating their first anniversary and the children both got Incredible face paint. We reviewed some fab new Incredible 2 toys too! Yesterday my daughter and I went to a screening of Hotel Transylvania 3 in the West End. It was a really good story and my daughter and I loved it. We had lunch together then a cheeky look round the Lego Store.
Have a great week everyone!

July 16, 2018 at 5:20 pmAll the bets in yoru new job, yes I remember when I worked set hours out of the home, it was tough not being able to go to everything but the kids are just fine thankfully. You’ll find a balance that works for you and well done on becoming Otter. Mich x
